David Graham has worked extensively in the third sector for the past 25 years. Since 2010 he has been National Director of The Care Leavers Association working to improve the lives of care leavers of all ages. Before this he was an Assistant Director at The Big Life Group. The focus of his early employment was working with young people in a range of community settings and managing community centres in various parts of the UK. David works with communities using a user-led approach, striving to ensure that the voices of individuals and communities are at the heart of all decision making and service provision. He is currently a visiting researcher at Cambridge University Centre for Public Health & Primary Care. In his limited free time David lives in the countryside of Yorkshire, enjoys his garden and still supports the team from the red side of Manchester. David was awarded an MBE in 2024.
